During your Microneedling treatment, hyaluronic acid, known as hyaluronan, or Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) will be applied to your skin. Hyaluronic acid is a clear, gooey substance that is naturally produced by your body. Roughly half of the hyaluronic acid in your body is present in your skin, where it binds to water to help retain moisture. However, the natural aging process and exposure to things like ultraviolet radiation from the sun, smoke and pollution can decrease its amounts in the skin. Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is a technology that uses your body’s own natural and powerful healing proteins and concentrated growth factors found within blood to rejuvenate skin, and speed up recovery. 

Microneedling creates millions of tiny channels in the skin, allowing it to absorb skin rejuvenation nutrients, PRF or Hyaluronic acid. The microneedling starts your body's healing process by sending collagen and elastin to patch up the tiny injuries. 

When paired with micro-needling, the repair process begins almost immediately resulting in softened wrinkles and scars, as well as a thicker dermis.
